Keyboardist/ producer Dane Urry from the USA formerly led Pharaoh, a Shanghai-based band dedicated to playing soul, hip hop, and funk. Though Pharoah disbanded at the end of 2008, the seeds of this musical movement are still being sowed to take root in Shanghai. Say hi to Devious D & The Dynamics – Dane’s new project dedicated to funk, disco, and soul. He talks to Stella Shu.
Say The Magic Word

Shanghai's most beloved trance party Magic Garden has teamed up with Udance to host a special event called TranceScape on May 16. Stella Shu talked to Magic Garden resident DJs and Dave K from Udance to find out more about this Saturday bash in an office building, as well as the reason why Magic Garden kissed G Plus goodbye.

Tell us about the members in your band.
There are five of us. I’m doing vocals and guitar, and there are bass player Eric from Dominique, drummer Xiaoyuan from China, trumpet player Claude from Congo and keyboard Roberto from Peru.
