As part of the Expo celebrations, the team who choreographed the opening and closing Olympic ceremonies in Beijing come together again to portray the life and times of Shanghai singer Zhou Xuan. A popular figure during the 1930s, Zhou led a life of intrigue and scandal – perfect material for a stage adaptation. 100-680 RMB. Feb 4th – 7th @ 7.30pm. The Mousetrap
Agatha Christie’s murder mystery is the longest running play in London’s theatreland. Shanghai Modern Theatre teams up with Mousetrap Productions in the Asian premiere of The Mousetrap in English. Local drama gurus He Nian and Ning Caishen present their third collaboration in Shanghai. Jin Xing Dance Theatre: Shanghai Beauty
The Jin Xing Dance Theatre’s eponymous leader, Jin Xing, gets together with Berlin dance group Rubato in a show about Eastern and Western ideals of beauty. Crazy For Money
