Xing Xin: Meditation on Floating Ice
After causing a stir with his Black Box project at the 53rd Venice Biennale in 2009, Xing Xin racks up the hype even further with his latest escapades. He drove and trekked to the source of the Yangtze river and took a block of ice from a glacier. Then he made his way to the river’s mouth at the East China Sea, and tried to drop the block into the ocean. See an account of his epic journey at Art Labor. Jul 29th – Aug 15th. CarloShark Art
Shanghai Studio is best known for its Thursday night open bar gay event, but it’s also home to exhibition space which is hosting a mixed media exhibition by art duo CarloShark.
