Juice is not a juice store. It's a brand new streetwear boutique opened by former movie star Edison Chen, who quit the Hong Kong show business after his 'sexy photo gate' scandal in 2008. Obviously the scandal hasn't tarnished his image as a fashion icon. The opening party of Juice Shanghai was packed with street fashion fans as well as famous desingers and stars like Hiroshi Fujiwara and Sam Lee.
 
This is the third Juice store in the world; the other two are in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. Located in an old building on Julu Lu, Juice Shanghai is a trendy showroom for Clot Inc., a Hong Kong based fashion brand co-founded by Chen. Clot is known for its dynamic design and super cool crossover items with various brands such as Nike, Adidas, Levi's and Subcrew, and you can find them all in this three-floor store.
 
The interior design here is clean and sharp, with an abundance of traditional Chinese elements such as the tiled roof at the entrance and the delicately carved red display table. Three Shanghai-exclusive limited-edition T-shirts were launched to celebrate the opening of Juice Shanghai, and the most pertinent one to many of us is probably Clot Xiao Long Bao tee (580rmb), which features a Clot's logo made of these tasty dumplings. If you are a graffiti fan, opt for the bold OriginalFake x Clot SH Font tee (680rmb) instead.
 
Sneaker junkies are especially pampered here with a sneakers room designed like a hidden sauna room. Premium sneakers like Nike Terminator High ENG TZ Black Snake Skin and Adidas Originals by Originals are displayed in the lockers, and you can sit down comfortably on the wooden benches and try them out.
