AND THEN THERE WAS ONE

There's been a lot of rumbling at Three on the Bund. Internal strife and external rumors. I haven't been able to get to the bottom of what's causing it. Frankly, it's difficult to even tell what the problems are. But here's a fairly dramatic result: Jereme Leung and Three on the Bund have officially parted ways as of Friday, December 19th, 2008. This internal announcement from Three's new COO, Johnny Kiu, dated December 8, lays it out:

"Dear Colleagues,

It is with regret that I announce the resignation of Jereme Leung - The Founder Chef of Whampao Club of Three On The Bund. Jereme's last day of service will be on 19th December 2008. After that, Jereme will start to take up his new project in this industry and his replacement will be announced in due course.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jereme for his 6 years of service and contributions to the company. We all wish him the very best in his future endeavours.

With regards,

Johnny Kiu"

That's two down. From my understanding, David Laris, though still involved in Laris, is now working on a consultancy basis, leaving only Jean-Georges (again, consultant) in the same position with Three as when the restaurants opened. According to JG's NY press office, he doesn't have plans to leave.
